Shopping for Toys Brings Out the Kid in Everyone

Whether you're shopping for your children, your grandchildren or another child in your life, shopping for toys brings out the kid in everyone. There are always new toys to discover, new adventures to instill in the imagination of children and new fun to be had by everyone!

Most toys are marked for the particular age group they're geared towards on the packaging which makes shopping a little easier for parents and non-parents. There are toys for babies, 1 year, 2 years, 3-4 years, 5-7 years and 8-11 years.

For babies there are beautiful mobiles that both stimulate and soothe babies in their crib. They are colorful for waking time and play soothing music for sleep time. Two year olds will find even bigger basketballs and hoops, baseball bats and ball that are just their size, itty bitty motorcycles that are moved with the feet pushing off of the floor, mini-trikes and fun castles to imagine all sorts of tales. There are imagination toys that develop their independence and sense of wonder.

Three and four year olds can have fun riding in a motorized car, climbing up and down various play structures, have their own little play house, push baby dolls in a stroller or make mud pies in different shapes and sizes outdoors (easy clean-up for mom & dad) or learn from Leapfrog everything from numbers, to alphabets and spelling to early calculations, to different languages..

Five to seven year olds can have a mini-trampoline; swing on a tire swing, create and imagine all things Lego. They can start riding a bike just their size, feel the freedom of a scooter, learn strategy with Mancala and improve their reading skills with Leapfrog.

Eight to ten year olds love all kinds of board games of chance, strategy, skill and luck. This is something the whole family can join in. There is still the favorite Barbie and friend's dolls including a vampire or two! There are remote controlled jeeps, trucks and your favorite NASCAR star to run all over the place. Skateboards and juggling, star watching and racing is all part of the fun toys for children this age.
