More durable than I expected. My newly turned 5 year old boy got this for his birthday 2 weeks ago. He already owns the deluxe Omnitrix and has had so much fun with that. Since Alien Force has started he has coveted the new watch obsessively and so despite misgivings I bought it for him. I was quite disappointed with it at first as compared to the deluxe the strap on the Ultimate is awful. It's a Plastic strap with bits sticking out that you have to force into the holes. There was no way that my little boy could get it on himself and even I had trouble for the first week. It falls off more than the deluxe ever did with it's thick velcro strap and although I am now better at putting it on him I still wish it had a better strap. The watch comes with one Alien to stick on the top, Swampfire. When I first saw the little figure it looked so flimsy that I doubted he would make it through his first day of rough play with my son but, to be fair, 2 weeks later and lots of drop and bangs and he's still fine. As to what the watch actually does..... very little. The plastic figures come off the top so you can change them. You get a new topper for the watch with every Alien Force figure you buy. My son recently bought Humungosaur and the watch topper that came with that looks much sturdier. They are a bit fiddly to change but despite my son forcing them on and off they haven't broken yet so presumably fairly tough. You press a button which pops the figure up then when child is ready to transform they press it down again and it plays some transformy music and a voice of whichever alien in is speaks it's name "huuummmuunggoossaaur!!" That as far as I can tell is pretty much it. It could have been better designed in my opinion and with the big bit of plastic sitting on top you can't really hit it in a Ben10 fashion - have to push it in round the outsides. I have given it 4 stars because my son loves it and hasn't managed to break it yet which is the best I can hope for these sorts of toys really.
BEN 10 ALIEN FORCE - ULTIMATE OMNITRIX My 5 year old son said (exact words) I like it it's good! - He is a huge Ben 10 fan and wants to wear his Ultimate Omnitrix as soon as he wakes up and I have to prize it off him when he goes to bed!!!!
No impressive Ben 10 Alien Force We have purchased this watch to reward my 6 yr old being well behave. We are very disappointed with the function as it should in the instruction given. The button which is supposed to suppress and make a sound did not work. We since tried another one off the shelf and result it the same. We are made to believe that the toy has not performed as it specified. Although it is only a toy but for over £15 you will expect it to function as it stated.

Very stylish - just watch the size. Very stylish Batman outfit with great cowl/cape and those funky 'overshoes' material boots. Not much else to say except watch the size. 50" is a pretty tall 5 year old.
Holy Mackerel! Wham! Splat! Bam! Kerpow! That's the sound of Grandad being beaten up by his grandson! Fabulous outfit - but who is wearing it?

Ben 10 Toys - 10 Things Every Parent Needs to Know

"Ben 10 is without doubt the hottest boys' brand of the moment". The Ben 10 10cm and 15cm Action Figures were selected as the "2009 Toy Of The Year" and the Ben 10 brand also scooped the "Boys' Range Of The Year". So what are Ben 10 toys all about and are they worth buying?
1. What are Ben 10 Toys?
Ben 10 is the superhero from the Cartoon Network show of the same name. Young fans all over the world are going wild for the merchandise relating to their hero and he now has his own toy range. The watch like object called the Omnitrix gives Ben his super powers and is central to the toy range. It allows him to transform into 10+ different superhero aliens, who form the action figure toys available.
Ben 10: Alien Force is the sequel to the original show. The trusty Omnitrix has evolved, resulting in new aliens to transform into. The toy range has been updated accordingly with a new Ultimate Omnitrix and new alien action figures.
2. For what age group are Ben 10 Toys suitable?
The range is primarily aimed at boys aged 4 to 12.
3. Are Ben 10 Toys any good?
Ben 10 toys are exciting, good value toys that entertain and inspire creativity. They are realistic to the cartoon, well detailed and well made. In this time of financial crisis it is all about trusted brands and the makers of the Ben 10 range, Bandai, are the world's third largest producer of toys. If you are looking for high quality, durable, multi-purpose toys that can be played with in different ways - Ben 10 delivers.
4. How much do Ben 10 Toys cost?
You can get some good action figures starting from about £5.
The best 'Omnitrix' watches cost between £15 and £20.
The new Alien Force creature vehicles cost about £15.
The video games start at about £15 depending on platform.
You can find a nice selection of books for around £3.
You could perform a great Ben 10 bedroom make-over for around £60, to include curtains, a duvet cover & pillowcase, wall stickers and a lightshade.
5. Which is the best Ben 10 Toy?
The must have toys for any Ben 10 fan are an Omnitrix and some action figures.
The Omnitrix comes in many different versions so beware of the cheaper forms that are less playable. The two best Omnitrix watches are the Deluxe Omnitrix and the new Alien Force Ultimate Omnitrix. They are realistic to the cartoon series and are ideal for superhero role play.
The best value for money in action figures are the 10cm versions as they are poseable, well detailed and hard wearing but also cheap enough to buy a few. Ensure you are buying the 'right' alien though as your Ben 10 fan will undoubtedly have their favourites. Take advantage of multi figure packs to get your Ben 10 fan's collection started. The Creation Chamber figures also offer great creative play allowing children to mix things up and make new Ben 10 aliens.
If you don't mind shoot-em up games, the Ben 10 video games are great. They are fairly easy to play, challenging but not too much so. There's great sound and story line and you have to solve problems. The best bits for young Ben 10 fans are:
another player can join or leave and help at any point in the game; and
you start from where you run out of life so you don't have to go back to the beginning of a level.
6. Which is the worst Ben 10 Toy?
The playsets are typically expensive, cumbersome and have too many parts that get lost. Generally they also require you to buy the rest of the product range to use with it, so are often not worth the money. The adverts and the packaging are always very tempting but once the box is opened and the first play frenzy is over, disappointment sets in.
The cheapest versions of the Omnitrix (the Omnitrix FX and the Alien Viewer) have limited appeal. Check out my other article "Ben 10 Omnitrix Watches - The Differences Every Parent Needs To Know" for more detailed information.
With the action figures you need to avoid the smallest and the largest. The Transforming Alien Rocks or figures from Planetary Powder sets are tiny, mono-coloured and badly detailed. At the other end of the scale, the 30cm Epic Alien Figures are not poseable and made of inferior quality plastic.
7. What toys and merchandise does the Ben 10 Toy range include?
As well as the Omnitrix and Action Figures, the Ben 10 range includes:
games and puzzles;
vehicles;
playsets;
DVDs;
video games;
clothes & shoes;
school equipment;
dressing up costumes;
arts & crafts;
sports equipment;
furniture;
party supplies;
bedroom accessories;
books.
8. What educational value does the Ben 10 Toy range provide?
The toys encourage imaginative play with your child starting as Ben 10, meeting a villain and then transforming into one of the hero aliens simply by switching toys. They also help develop moral reasoning by identifying the good from the bad characters. When used to interact with other children, they will engage in cooperative and dramatic play.
9. Which toy should I buy for a child that has most of the Ben 10 Toy range already?
Take a look at some of the sports equipment, such as the skateboard or the scooter.
10. Where can I buy Ben 10 Toys online?
Everywhere! Ben 10 is so popular you can find the toys for sale at most online toy retailers such as Amazon, The Toy Shop and Toys R Us.

Brand: Peterkin
Dimensions: 1.32 pounds

Editorial Reviews
Manufacturer's Description This 19 x 24 cm durable plastic carry case contains everything a budding junior doctor or nurse may need to do away with aches and pains in the afflicted. Great for role play and dressing up with enough instruments for more than one to play, this playset delivers great play value. Each item is made from hard wearing plastic in chunky sizes and bright primary colours especially for small hands. Pump the blood pressure monitor to see the meter rise and fall, turn the thermometer to show healthy / unhealthy temperatures and, for more effective injections, the syringe plunger moves up and down. The case is hinged with an easy-open clasp and once the item inserts are removed there is plenty of space for any additional essentials. Fill out the name badge and everyone will know who the new doctor in town is and you will never need to call out the quack again. Recommended for ages 3 - 8 years. The Medical Carrycase contains a stethoscope, blood pressure monitor with working pump and meter, syringe with moving plunger, reflex hammer, otoscope for viewing ears, thermometer with moving part to display different temperatures, eye drop bottle, pill bottle with screw off lid, mirror for viewing throats and tonsils, tongue depressor and name badge with space for writing the doctor’s name.

A good toy. My little lad throughly enjoys this. He's taken our temperatures, looked in our ears, tried to choke us with the spatula and listened to our hearts. It's a good role-playing set.
Great value and perfect for little ones This is great value for money. The case and items are sturdy and it contains everything other kids medical cases do. It's not too big or bulky either and is easy to use for little ones. A bargain, my kids love it, although probably best for ages 6 and under?
Not the best but does the job I have also bought the elc and boots versions and I have to say apart from the case not having such a good lock it really is not much different, they have similar pieces inside and my 2 year old has been more than happy with it, actually it also had a a blood pressure monitor in it that the others didn't and this was actually one of the best bits for my girls so I'm happy with it and it really was great for the price.
